چکیده
In the Categorical Clustering problem, we are given a set of vectors (matrix) A={a1,…,an} over Σm, where Σ is finite alphabet, and integers k B. The task to partition A into clusters such that median objective clustering in Hamming norm at most Fomin, Golovach, Panolan [ICALP 2018] proved problem fixed-parameter tractable for binary case Σ={0,1}. We extend this algorithmic result popular capacitated model, addition sizes lower upper bounded by integer parameters p q, respectively. Our main theorem solvable time 2O(BlogB)|Σ|B⋅(mn)O(1).

متن کاملThe Parameterized Complexity of Global Constraints
We argue that parameterized complexity is a useful tool with which to study global constraints. In particular, we show that many global constraints which are intractable to propagate completely have natural parameters which make them fixedparameter tractable and which are easy to compute. This tractability tends either to be the result of a simple dynamic program or of a decomposition which has...
متن کاملOn the Parameterized Complexity of Consensus Clustering
Given a collection C of partitions of a base set S, the NP-hard Consensus Clustering problem asks for a partition of S which has a total Mirkin distance of at most t to the partitions in C, where t is a nonnegative integer. We present a parameterized algorithm for Consensus Clustering with running time O(4.24 ·k+ |C| · |S|), where k := t/|C| is the average Mirkin distance of the solution partit...
متن کاملParameterized Complexity of Two Edge Contraction Problems with Degree Constraints
Motivated by recent results of Mathieson and Szeider (J. Comput. Syst. Sci. 78(1): 179–191, 2012), we study two graph modification problems where the goal is to obtain a graph whose vertices satisfy certain degree constraints. The Regular Contraction problem takes as input a graph G and two integers d and k, and the task is to decide whether G can be modified into a d-regular graph using at mos...
متن کاملON FUZZY NEIGHBORHOOD BASED CLUSTERING ALGORITHM WITH LOW COMPLEXITY
The main purpose of this paper is to achieve improvement in thespeed of Fuzzy Joint Points (FJP) algorithm. Since FJP approach is a basisfor fuzzy neighborhood based clustering algorithms such as Noise-Robust FJP(NRFJP) and Fuzzy Neighborhood DBSCAN (FN-DBSCAN), improving FJPalgorithm would an important achievement in terms of these FJP-based meth-ods. Although FJP has many advantages such as r...
